PARQUE NACIONAL DE IGUAZU
 
Distant 1 hour and 15 minutes from Buenos Aires, near the borders of Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina, it is in one of the most attractive places for those who visit our country.
LAS CATARATAS (The Waterfalls): They are located over the Iguazú river, 20 kms before its mouth on Paraná river, in the Parque Nacional Iguazú (created in 1934), and surrounded by 670 km2 of virgin jungle, where there are more than 2000 plant species, more than 400 kinds of birds and various types of animals such as caymans, jaguars, etc.
The Waterfalls were discovered in 1541 by Alvar Nuñez Cabeza de Vaca and their name is in Guaraní language, and it means “big waters”; they form an arch of more than 3 km with 275 falls almost 80 m high. The most impressive falls are the Salto Unión or Garganta del Diablo.
The Waterfalls are a unique sight, a gift of nature. We invite you to enjoy them. On the Argentinean side you will be able to walk along the different falls following the lower path or from the upper path you will be able to see how the water falls, you can make short trips in boats to get closer to the falls or you can visit the jungle and live the unforgettable experience of looking out of the Garganta del Diablo. On the Brazilian side, you will be able to see them at large surrounded by an incomparable landscape.
